DESCRIPTION
The High Build Epoxy Garage Floor Paint is a popular choice among British consumers due to its ability to safeguard and seal concrete flooring, while also delivering a polished and professional appearance. It is featured in the High Build Epoxy Range, a selection of heavy-duty, solvent-free epoxy coatings that offer remarkable protection against abrasions and chemical substances. Just one application of High Build Epoxy Garage Floor Paint is equivalent to ten layers of traditional solvent or water-based coatings, making it a practical solution for use in garages or car service centres were exposure to automotive fluids can harm standard paints.

APPLICATION GUIDE
Preparation
Prior to applying High Build Epoxy Garage Floor Paint, it is important to remove any old, flaking finishes and create a textured surface by sanding or using mechanical methods such as shot-blasting or grinding. Our Etch and Clean product can also be used as an effective alternative. After thoroughly abrading the surface, be sure to sweep and vacuum away any remaining dust or contaminants for optimal results.
Please note: Etch and Clean is only suitable for use on bare concrete.
Priming
• For new concrete floors or floors in good condition, prime with Damp Primer
• For dusty, old or weaker floors prime with Deep Penetrating Primer
• For greasy floors with heavy oil residue clean thoroughly using a suitable degreaser scraping off any dust or dirt and then prime with Oil Tolerant Primer
• For wood floors you should consider use of --- Wood Floor Paint
Application
We advise when applying this product the ambient temperature is at least 7°C.
1. Mix Part A for 1 minute using an electric drill and a mixing paddle, then add ALL of Part B and continue mixing for 90 seconds while keeping the paddle suspended to prevent air from being mixed into the unit.
2. Pour entirety of the tin's contents into a plastic paint scuttle or tray.
3. Immediately begin applying your paint with a nylon-bonded resin suitable roller.
4. Use a brush around the edges to cut in (a second pair of hands can be useful for this stage).
5. Once the initial coat has fully cured (no longer sticky to the touch), the next coat can be applied within 12-24 hours.
6. The completed top layer is suitable for walking on, but for the initial 48 hours, refrain from placing cars or heavy items on the fresh coating. For the first week, it is important to avoid introducing chemicals or water to allow for the full chemical curing process.
PLEASE NOTE:The product has a pot life of 20 minutes, meaning it will start to chemically cure after being mixed. Be sure to remove the paint from the tin within this timeframe. After that, the paint will remain soft and workable on your floor for 40 minutes.
Pot life refers to the amount of time it takes for the product to become solid once the hardener has been added. The working time is the duration in which the product can be applied before it becomes too difficult to work with.
