APPLICATION GUIDE
Preparation
Experience strong and long-lasting adhesion with Deep Penetrating Epoxy Primer. Simply sand or use our Etch and Clean product for best results on prepping surfaces for floor coatings. Keep dust and contaminants at bay with a thorough sweep and vacuum. For more details, consult the technical data sheet.
Please note: Etch and Clean is only suitable for use on bare concrete.
Application
We advise when applying this product the ambient temperature is at least 7°C.
1. Combine Part A and Part B together using a mixing paddle attached to an electric drill for approximately 2 and a half minutes. It is important to keep the paddle evenly suspended to prevent air from being mixed into the unit.
2. Pour entirety of the tin's contents into a plastic paint scuttle or tray.
3. Immediately begin applying your paint with a nylon-bonded resin suitable roller.
4. Use a brush around the edges to cut in (a second pair of hands can be useful for this stage).
5. As soon as the primer has started curing (is no longer tacky to touch) you apply your first coat of paint; this should take 8-12 hours.
6. The cured final coat is ok for foot traffic after 12-24 hours.
PLEASE NOTEThe product has a 20-minute pot life, indicating that after mixing, the paint will begin to chemically cure. It is important to take the paint out of the tin within this time frame. Once removed, the paint will remain in a workable state on the floor for up to 40 minutes.
- Pot life: The amount of time it takes for the product to harden in the pot after the hardener has been added. - Working Time: The time frame in which the product can be applied before it becomes unworkable.
